Design and Story: The main concept of this piece is based on a poem by Mohammadreza Shafiei Kadkani which was later immortalized in the song "kooche banafsheha" (migration of violets) by Farhad Mehrad. It encapsulates the so-called 'diaspora blues' described in a poem of the same name by Ijeoma Umebinyuo coupled with traditional symbols of Iran and Persian culture, the Eslimi motif and the Azadi tower. The Azadi Tower, formerly known as the Shahyad Tower, is a monument located on Azadi Square in Tehran. It is one of the landmarks of Iran and the location for several important protests in the history of the country.
